This opportunity is responsible for the accurate financial reporting of the Company and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems.
It sits within the senior management team and is expected to contribute to the strategic and operational management and direction of the company, ultimately allowing it to make effective business decisions through relevant and timely business & financial analysis.
You will be highly analytical and data-driven with strong commercial instincts and experience.
As with any role at this level, you will be pragmatic, adaptable and comfortable with a constantly changing environment.
If you are collaborative in your approach and have a history of offering insights and tools that drive commercially oriented independent decision making across previous businesses, this could be the ideal match.
Your success will ultimately be defined by the performance of the finance function and building effective relationships with the rest of the Senior Leadership Team, instinctively understanding the SLT’s perspective, and you will need to proactively provide the information and insight necessary for decision making.
Whilst collegiate in approach, you will need to understand the necessity of independence of thought and have both the strength of character, the moral compass and the nuanced personal skills necessary to challenge (upwards and downwards) when appropriate.

- Qualified Accountant with relevant exposure gained in a similar environment
- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) and a good working knowledge of ERP systems such as BPCS and/or SAP
- Experience in a dynamic production / manufacturing environment is highly advantageous
- Key emotional intelligence strength: Listening, understanding, Proven influencing and collaboration skills
- A positive and collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills and showing moral courage and honesty in all dealings
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring financial data is summarised in a logical way and targeted to the relevant audience.
- A high level of commercial acumen, with communication and negotiation skills
