Financial Planning Manager - c£75,000pa plus excellent benefits

Supporting the highly credible and engaging Divisional Financial Controller, this role has a large degree of autonomy and will be responsible for bringing a fresh approach to designing and implementing controls and processes.

 

Key to your success will be your ability to demonstrate a commercial acumen and an ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels (both within finance and non-finance) and be an effective business partner.

 

About you

  • You will be an experienced Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a strong commercial grounding.
  • Previous retail and/or multisite experience is highly beneficial.
  • Experience of Business Partnering with Senior Stakeholders and capable of operating in a changing and fast-moving environment.
  • Self-managing, capable of planning and prioritising a broad and extensive range of activities.
  • You will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring financial data is summarised in a logical and informative manner, appropriate to the given audience
  • You will have advanced Excel skills and an ability to present financial data in a clear manner
  • You will also be a strong communicator; building credible relationships and influencing across teams through having a solid awareness of people as well as numerical data

 

The role

You will be responsible for coordinating and producing a range of financial plans, budgets and forecasts for a number of areas of this division. This is a complex business and you will be working closely with and engaging regional stakeholders to ensure consistency of all planning and forecasting. You will also manage, motivate and develop an Analyst within the team.

 

Main Duties

Provide a financial planning and forecasting service in the UK, Regions and international business units

Deliver periodic and annual budgets and forecasts

Lead the design, agreement and implementation of improvements to process improvements

Support the production of Management Information that is robust and fit for purpose

Set planning and forecasting timetables for the organisation

Support strategy in the collation and consolidation of 5-year planning

Lead, manage and motivate one Financial Planning Analyst
