BondMoran are delighted to have been retained by this ambitious and innovative business to recruit their new Head of Finance. “Exciting” is normally a cliché, but this really is a unique opportunity to join them at second stage start-up phase, where you will be able to completely shape the role and finance function and be pivotal in driving the business on their growth journey.
Having secured substantial funding from key market players, the business has already gained a solid foot hold in the development of their product ready to take to market and is set to be THE market disruptor in their field. This is a genuinely superb time to join the business if you are excited to be part of their growth journey in the UK, and with the scope for international expansion too.
Partnering with a highly engaging and supportive MD, you will operate as part of the Senior Leadership Team and will be instrumental in providing both operational and strategic support from a finance perspective. As the business continues to grow, you will be building the finance function and will be a strong mentor and manager to your team.
As with any start-up/SME business, their will be an initial need to be “hands-on” and to take control of the transactional processes and month end accounting. At the same time, you will be operating at Board level, providing valuable insight, driving change and performance and making recommendations of future opportunities, as well as managing risks. This is a broad, far reaching role where you will need to wear many hats and need to be flexible in your approach.
Strong communication skills are key to the success in this role. You will need to support the rest of the SLT, but also be comfortable to challenge and to make recommendations. You will also have oversight of all aspects of banking, insurances, pensions and managing relationships with other external suppliers, so strong interpersonal skills are paramount.

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong stakeholder management and business partnering ability
