As the Managing Director, you will be a key part of this.

You will form a close partnership with the existing management team and stakeholders, providing strategic advice and direction.

You also need to strike that well-known balance within any SME of being hands-on and adopting a pragmatic approach.

A key requirement in these early stages will be to work closely with their FCA contact and to complete the thorough accreditation process. Moving forwards, you will be integral to the growth and implementing the ‘tried and tested’ business plan, making improvements as required.

Your ability to communicate effectively, working with and presenting to internal and external stakeholders at all levels is essential.

If you are this commercially minded, experienced individual, have a relevant background of financial services and high-growth start-ups, this could be a good partnership.

If you also have a history of driving a business within this sector, liaising with FCA and investors, reviewing and improving processes and procedures, strong business partnering background and you are comfortable dealing with the challenges faced within this environment, this could be THE perfect match.

A part-time or consultative approach will be considered whilst the business is completing it’s FCA process, subsequently progressing into a full-time position.

Requirements

  • A history of working within an FCA regulated environment
  • Strategic decision maker with a high level of commercial acumen
  • Strong I.T. Skills with a knowledge of the challenges of a high-growth start-up businesses
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring financial data is summarised in a logical way and targeted to the relevant audience
  • A proven background of taking a pragmatic and commercial approach to the challenges faces in a high-growth start-up
  • A positive and collaborative approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
