This is my son Louie & a picture of me at his age!
He’s worried that, in 30 years time, he’ll look like me now, & that he’ll be running an accountancy recruitment business!
We shout the same things at football matches at the same time, we love the same food and laugh at the same jokes.
That got me thinking about the paths we take & how much is already mapped out?
Over lock down, like many, I’ve worked my socks off so I hope that it was worth the effort & our destiny hadn’t already been decided.
I’m being a little silly but for the sake of Louie’s good looks, I hope I’m right in telling him that you create your own story.
I’ve also told him that the harder you work, the luckier you get. Let’s hope that’s true as recent times have had a lot of us working ridiculously hard and/or dealing with challenges we would never have believed could be pre-planned!
Then again, I’ve also told him that our football team will win a trophy…one day.
And if you want to see how alike we are, check out Louie’s lock down posts on LinkedIn @Louie Bond – (proud Dad alert!).
