They have ambitious plans and due to their success to date, combined with the impressive, knowledgeable and engaging Senior Leadership, the business has secured funding from the same funds that have backed Revolut and Transferwise along with others.
They are now seeking a strong CFO to join the SLT and help with the next, exciting chapter of their journey.
As the first CFO of Koyo you will be a key part of this.
If you are seeking a role with a future where you can make a tangible difference, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
You will need to understand, negotiate and implement complex debt agreements, implement the correct frameworks for ‘best-in-class’ financial practices.
You will also manage Koyo’s debt facilities, create processes to reduce risk and monitor all aspects of the Company’s finances.
As a close aide and strategic sounding board to the CEO, you will have input in key decisions and will provide robust financial and commercial insight.
You will understand complex debt and have a proven understanding of UK accounting practices. Experience in reporting, R&D tax credits and options treatment are all required within this position.
Aside from the technical competences, the MOST important element will be your approach to joining an ambitious, early stage start-up.
Koyo do have an existing accounting function in place, however you will need the well-known and pragmatic approach encountered within high-growth SMEs, whereby you will also need to ‘roll up your sleeves’ when required.
A key part of your role will be to ‘get into the weeds’, review processes, identify and drive improvements and drive a culture of constant best practice.

Requirements

ACA-qualified with foundational experience at a well-established accountancy firm.

Experience within at a fast growing, relevant financial services company

Strong I.T. Skills with a knowledge of the challenges of a high-growth businesses.

A keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring financial data is summarised in a logical way and targeted to the relevant audience
